Your first appointment

Taking the first step can be challenging….

Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar, especially if you have never seen a psychologist before. Your first appointment is simply an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building an understanding of what has brought you here. There is no expectation that you share everything immediately. Therapy moves at a pace that feels comfortable and safe for you.
We may discuss:

Your current concerns and what has brought you to therapy

Relevant personal history and background

Factors currently affecting your wellbeing

Existing supports and coping strategies

Your goals and what you hope might be different
