No, you can book directly without a referral. However, if you’d like to access Medicare rebates, you’ll need a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from your GP. You’re welcome to book as a private client without one at any time.

A standard 50-minute consultation is $195.00. Medicare rebates are available for eligible clients with a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral. Bulk billing is not available. Fees for clients accessing services through NDIS, DVA, Workers Compensation, CTP, or EAP are charged according to the relevant funding body’s schedule of fees.

A Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) is a plan your GP prepares that allows you to access Medicare rebates for psychology sessions. If you’re eligible, you may receive a rebate for up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year. Speak with your GP for more information about whether this is right for you.
